Blogging is an interesting thing. Many people use blogs to chronicle their lives, write about hobbies, communicate with the world and as commentaries or news on a bunch of different topics. When I started as a freebie trader in January and realized that it WAS indeed possible to make money online (after a few failed attempts), I also started studying up on other ways to make money online.
In my search, I realized that people were making money by having a blog. That was something that didn’t make sense to me. How can you make money for having an online diary? I obviously had NO IDEA what it was all about. I did some research and I came across Yaro Starak, a blogger from Australia who claimed to make $10,000 per month blogging and only worked 2 hours a day. YEAH RIGHT! When I read that I thought to myself “another one of these guys that like to claim he makes more than he does while investing less time than he does”.
The Blog Profits Blueprint
I went over to his blog and started reading. His articles were pretty interesting and I noticed he was giving away an Ebook called “Blog Profits Blueprint”. I decided to sign up to get that eBook by signing up for his Blog Tips Newsletter. I got the book and read it quickly and REALLY LOVE WHAT I READ. Not only that, but by being a part of his newsletter, I was getting emails with some REALLY valuable tips – ALL FREE OF CHARGE.
For a while I couldn’t understand how he was making money because he was giving away all this information for free, lol.
In August he restarted his coaching program called Blog Mastermind. I decided that I had to jump in because if he was giving away all that info for free, the paid version had to be AWESOME. So I jumped in and I have NOT been disappointed.
The blog you are reading right now is a result of that program.
So Why am I writing all of this? I’m glad you asked. . .
As part of the program, Yaro (my Blog Mentor) recommended for us to find active bloggers in our industry, or a related industry and nurture relationships with them probably exchanging articles, doing some guest writing and probably even starting a Blog Carnival if one wasn’t already available.
A blog carnival is a type of blog event. It is similar to a magazine, in that it is dedicated to a particular topic, and is published on a regular schedule, often weekly or monthly. Each edition of a blog carnival is in the form of a blog article that contains permalinks to other blog articles on the particular topic.
Being the good student that I am :), I decided to look for active Freebie Trading blogs. Can you guess how many I found? NONE! Yes, I found many blogs on Freebie Trading, but none that were updated on a regular basis. All of them had a few articles that had been on there for months with no fresh content. This is the reason I am writing this article.
Do you have what it takes?
Are you a writer? Do you enjoy writing? Why not start a blog? No, this is not something everyone can do successfully, but I'm not really speaking to everyone. I'm talking to those of you that are reading this that are thinking: “Man, I really love writing! I can do that!” Get one started and then let me know. Maybe we can exchange content and so on. It's also a possibility that you can start by writing a guest article for this blog. Let me know if you are interested.
There are many other ways to make money with blogging. I'm going to list some resources that I have found to be extremely valuable. There are a number of free ones that can introduce you to blogging in general and I've also included some paid resources that I've taken advantage of.
As I'm writing this, Yaro has teamed up with Gideon Shalwick to offer a new training program that is significantly cheaper than any other coaching program out there. I'm paying $97 dollars a month for the Blog Mastermind coaching program and I don't regret it one bit. For those that can't afford that much, this is a GREAT alternative. The thing that I like about it is that they people who are doing it are great people – Honest and I trust them. There's no upsells, or downsells or one-time-offers or anything tricky like that. Just one product that offers lots of value at a very affordable entry price.
Yaro and Gideon are launching a new FREE report on December 1st and opening the training program at $27 per month on December 4st and then it goes up to $47 after the launch week. If you are interested in learning about blogging, check the program out:
