I'm not even sure how I got there—but there it was, on my screen. All I remember is surfing the Web and by chance—maybe even fate—coming across a Web site called Project Payday, which claimed that I could make $200–$2,500 in 30 days. I was cautious, of course, so I did my homework: I decided to do some digging on this site to see what I could dig up…good or bad. My previous “online relationships” were all attractive and enticing; but in the end, they left me empty—especially my pockets. This time was different, though. That’s because my previous online ventures were fueled by an intense need to make money to pay bills. When I found Project Payday, I had a full-time job and didn't really need the money. But I was very curious.
My online digging pleasantly surprised me. The reviews of Project Payday were better than most of the things I've seen out there. What’s more, I really had nothing to lose. It would only take a few dollars for me to start ($3 to be exact). Plus, if I tried it and didn't make ANY money, they would pay me $100. Hmmm. Invest $3 and get it back with $97 interest if it’s an entire waste of my time? It was a no-brainer… So off I went.
The Project Payday system is all about “Incentivized Freebie Web sites (IFWs),” also known as Freebie Sites. You’ve probably heard all about them. Some of the popular ones advertise that you can get a free iPod, TV or a MacBook Pro. So when I heard that this is what it dealt with, I thought to myself, Oh yeah! I've seen those before. They aren't any good. On the Web site, I saw an ad for a free MacBook Pro. Being the Mac fanatic I am I took the bait. So I eagerly hit the link to my prize only to discover that in order to get the Mac, I had to complete a few offers and then refer a bunch of individuals in order to claim my “Free MacBook Pro.” That's when I saw the writing on the wall: No MacBook Pro for me! I was disappointed and decided that it just wasn't for me.
But before I left the site, I decided to read a little further—just like you’re doing right now. That's how I found out that there were forums out there, with over 50,000 individuals (at the time), many of which were looking to complete these offers, and an equal number willing to pay individuals to be their referrals. What’s more, I found out that many of these Freebie Web sites offer cash prizes for referring individuals. So, on Friday, January 18th, 2008, I dove in. I contacted someone at the forum that was willing to pay me to be their referral on a few sites. On Sunday, January 20th, I completed the offers and the same day, I received $70. I signed up as a referral for that individual at one site. You can see a screenshot of it here:
It was when that cold, hard cash appeared in my PayPal account that it hit me: THIS SYSTEM ACTUALLY WORKS! I made $70 in one day and barely did any work. Now, it did take me $3 to complete the required amount of offers at the first site, but I was paid immediately when I did that. Since then, I never had to dig into my own pockets to complete offers or pay referrals, because the money I made was WAY MORE than enough to run my freebie business.
At this point, I decided to take a step back. I knew the system worked, but I wanted to study the industry in great detail. It was obvious to me that many individuals were successful in the Freebie Industry; and on the other hand, there were others who weren't as successful. What set these two groups squarely apart was knowledge, skills, determination and hard work—which made my decision very easy. I was going to be a member of the first group. So I studied, studied and studied some more. Not only did I want to understand how Freebie Trading worked, I also wanted to understand the inner workings of these Freebie Sites. Granted, I knew of many people who dove into the Freebie Industry headfirst (no parachute or safety net) and did so successfully. But I didn't care about making $2,000 my first month. My priority was to understand the industry and develop training materials so that my referrals would also be successful.
Today, 4.5 months after joining Project Payday, I've experienced great success. Last month was by far my biggest month. This month looks even better. I'm having a lot of fun and I’m meeting some GREAT people. So if you’re on the fence about giving Project Payday a chance, I really encourage you to do so. It's not a get-rich quick scheme. In fact, you probably won’t get rich doing it. However, as Project Payday claims, it does provide Realistic Extra Income for the Average Joe (that’s you and me). So ask yourself: do I need to make some extra cash on a regular basis, to pay bills, pay off debt or just to have fun? If your answer is yes (or a vigorous nod) then Project Payday is the BEST place to start.
The Bad
Now, it wouldn't be honest for me to tell you that Project Payday is ALL good. The fact of the matter is that Project Payday, like many other programs out there, overstates the income potential. According to Project Payday, you can make at LEAST $50 an hour and by doing their first method, you can make $1000 easily by putting in 5 hours weekly. As good as that sounds, it is NOT true. Yes, there is income potential. However, you can only use their first method on a few sites and make only a few hundred dollars with it. To find out more about Method 1, click here. In order to make long term income, you will have to move on to Method 2. Also, I've NEVER met anyone to make $50 per hour with PPD. It is VERY possible to start making money fast with PPD and many people (including myself) have done it successfully. It will take work, and proper training.
