Does it make a difference what sites you have in your portfolio? Well, that is just like asking: “In real estate, does location REALLY matter?” YES IT DOES. The way you choose your first sites can set you up, either for success, or failure.

I've had newbies contact me after they did 1 trade with someone else that had them set up a trade for a REALLY DIFFICULT SITE, because they could get up to $100 on one trade. Now, that sounds good, but in the process of getting that 1 site, you can be flushing your freebie success down the toilet. Sorry for being so blunt, but that is really what you are doing on some sites, and unfortunately, there are some traders out there that want to make a quick buck, regardless of how that affects you! That being said, let me tell you what I consider to be important when choosing sites.

Are they Reputable?
If you go to the FreeLunchRoom and Anything4Free forums, you will see that these sites are in the Proven Legitimate section. Although many “Unproven” legitimate sites are actually very good sites, having the site listed there just gives you the extra security in knowing that those sites won't just run away with your money. Once again, let me re-emphasize that just because a site isn't “Proven Legitimate” at the forums, does not mean it is not an awesome site!

Honest and Reliable Administration
How do you find out if the administration of a site is honest and reliable? It's quite easy. Just look around the forum and see what others have to say. How is the support system? Do they answer support tickets pretty quickly, and are the users of the site of high priority? Check out the subforums of the sites and see how they interact with their members. You can tell a lot by their response to complaints.

Forever Green and Repeatable
This is very important. If a site is forever green and repeatable, it means that once you have met the offer requirements once, you never have to complete another offer. You can just start referring people and getting prizes (cash or otherwise) over and over  and over and over . . .  well, you get the point. This is important for long term success.

1-3 Referral cashouts
I have also had individuals that are relatively new contact me and let me know that they would like to go through my training program, and already have sites in their portfolio. However, when they tell me what sites they have, I realize that in order for them to cashout on those sites, they have to refer 5, 8 and in some cases 10 or more individuals.

Now, although some of these sites are good to have in your portfolio, and their are different strategies to maximize success on these sites, it can be very hard for a newbie to have to pay that many people and wait until they have ALL gone green before they can cashout. I like working with 1-cashout sites. That means you can refer one individual, cashout, and then use that money to pay your next referral, which gives you faster cash flow when you transition to method 2.

Some networks, for example Git-R-Free, are 3 referral cashouts. However, those are also EXCELLENT sites to have in your portfolio because they have over 600 offers, which is many more than ANY other network! After a few sites, you will notice that you are starting to run out of offers that you can do, and you will be happy to have the git-r-free sites then. The same will go for your referrals.
