Hey, this is Leslie Samuel from iamlesliesamuel.com and I have another quickie tip for you.

I want to give you a tip that I just discovered… Not discovered but, I just started to really think about and do recently. I don't know why I wasn't doing this all the time! I'm going to share it with you so that, you cannot make the same mistake that I've been making over the last four years and not waste time.

You ready for the tip? Here's the tip.

You know, when it comes to content creation, obviously, that's one of the most important aspects of blogging and building an online business with a blog, this is the way I used to go about doing it.

I would come to my computer and decide, “What am I going to write about today?” Then, I'd think about it for a while. I might even call a friend, a good buddy of mine and then, we'd come up with something and then, I'd write it.

Then, the next week or the next few days, I'd do the same thing. It's always this process that I have to go through to decide what am I going to write about? But, recently, I started doing something totally different and I would highly recommend for you to do it.

Today is…what's the date? [Leslie checks date on the computer]. Today is October 21 as I'm recording this. You're probably seeing this much later and that's okay. But, today is October 21 and I just finished, just finished sitting down at my computer and planning out my content for the rest of the year.

You know how long it took me? Ten minutes. Ten minutes! And, my content for the rest of the year is fully planned — my interviews in terms of what topics I want to cover, my quickie tips in terms of what short videos I want to make, and not only that, I'm making those videos, well most of them, on this same day, October 21.

So, my recommendation for you is as you think about your blog and you know what your blog is about — hopefully, you know what your blog is about — there are certain topics that you definitely want to cover. Sit down on a Sunday if that's a good day for you or a Saturday or a Monday or a Tuesday, whatever date works for you. Sit down. Spend how much ever time it's going to take and plan out your content for the next few months.

That's going to save you a ton of time in terms of trying to come up with ideas and so on. You're not going to waste time like I've done over these last few years. You'd be much more efficient in your planning. You can have a better sequence depending on what's happening for the year and so on or for the next few months, whatever the case might be.

Sit down. Take the time right now or as soon as you get a chance, uninterrupted, to plan out the content that you want to post to your blog over the next few months, at least three months, you can do that. I believe that you can do it.

I hope this is helpful. Make sure to do that. If this is something that you do, let me know in the comments. If it's something that you've never thought about or you don't even see value in doing it, let me know that in the comments, too.

But, that's pretty much it for this quickie tip. Until next time, this is Leslie Samuel. I'll see you in the next video.
