Online video is becoming not just the wave of the future, but the wave of today. Of all the websites on the internet, Youtube is ranked at number 3 according to Alexa with Yahoo and Google in 1st and second place. Obviously, online video is a force to be reckoned with.

If you've been following my blog for a little while, you will probably know that I decided to dive into the field of online video. As usual, I had to go overboard and get some serious equipment (relatively speaking) and set up a Sweet little video studio in my basement (you can see a pic above). Now here's the thing about me. I have the tendency to dive into things head-first, even without a full understanding of how to do things. A few years back, I decided to start a website design business. I wasn't a professional, but people seemed to like my work, and they wanted to pay me. So I decided to give it a go.

Learn to Shoot Better Video at IzzyVideo.comThe experience was a good one. However, I would always get clients who wanted me to do things I've never done and never thought of doing. However, whenever they asked questions like: “Is it possible for you to do such and such?”, my response would ALWAYS be “Oh, most definitely” – even if it was something I'd NEVER heard of. Then the digging would begin – I would do google searches and try to find the solution to my problem and to date – I have ALWAYS delivered what the client asked. I took it as a challenge.

That being said, when I bought all this equipment, I didn't really have an idea of how to use it. I bought me a Canon GL2 camera with a nice little tripod, and decided to spend the $200 on Final Cut Express – a GREAT video editing program from Apple. The problem was that I had no idea of how to use the program.

When I first started out with this video stuff, I wrote a post on my blog to share a great site that I found. The site was IzzyVideo.com and the owner of the site, Israel Hyman, put together a series of over 100 videos about the different aspects of making professional video. They are awesome and I just wanted to share that with you. He explains complicated concepts in a very simple way that makes it understandable for just about anyone.

Since I got the program “Final Cut Express”, I've been looking for some kind of video tutorials on how to use it. I decided that yesterday was going to be the day that I had to find a solution, because of some plans that I have for next week (and no, I'm not telling – You'll just have to wait and see).

To my surprise, I received an email yesterday from Israel announcing the release of his new video Series – Learn Final Cut Pro 6 – The Izzy Video Guide for Beginners. I almost jumped for joy. It's a $59 product that members could purchase for $39 temporarily and let me tell you – It is AMAZING. I just started watching them today and I can finally say that I understand HOW final cut works. It was made in Final Cut Pro 6, but there are so many similarities with Final Cut Express that I haven't yet seen much of a difference. Since the videos were made for beginners, much of the info applies to Final Cut Express Adobe Premier, Sony Vegas, and all other editing applications.

As usual, I had to share that info with you, because it's the best I've seen anywhere online. So go ahead and check out IzzyVideo.com – Especially if you are interested in using online video for your blog, website or business.
