I’m Yaro Starak, Professional Blogger, And This Is My Story …
Not all that long ago I was probably where you are now.
That is, I knew blogs existed but didn’t really know what they were. I sure didn’t know how to make one work for me!
Ever since my days at university (college), I’ve dabbled in business in some form or another. Some dabbling was successful, some not. In particular, I found the Internet to be pretty UN-predictable when it came to business success.
Then a friend told me that blogging was a great way to promote business on the Internet but, like I said before, I didn’t know what a blog was! After doing some research I came to the initial conclusion that blogs were really no different from normal websites.
How wrong I was!
Unlike a conventional website, a blog is a living, growing entity, evolving and changing with the rhythm of its community.
Now back to my story …
I continued to research and began blogging about the Internet proofreading business that I owned at the time (BetterEdit.com). Unfortunately, the blog wasn’t driving much traffic to my website and, truth be told, writing regular posts about proofreading didn’t exactly ‘rock my world’. Bottom line … I lost interest in it.
But I didn’t give up. Instead, I started to blog about something I AM Interested In - Entrepreneurship
Instead, I decided to blog about something that does ‘rock my world’ … entrepreneurship. And so I started a new blog at Entrepreneurs-Journey.com.
This time it was different; I found that I really enjoyed blogging. Plus, I found other people were reading my posts and adding their comments.
This was still a learning process and after six months I discovered some people actually make a pretty good living from blogging.
Again, I did my own trial and error research and after another two years or so, I finally saw some real income—$2000 to $4000 per month - from selling affiliate products, and taking sponsors.
Now, this certainly paid the bills but I knew that my blog had the potential to do a lot more so I added a newsletter that drew even greater numbers of traffic to my blog … and now that monthly income figure has another zero on it.
Now my blog averages $30,000 to $50,000 each and every month, all from blogging!

Why am I telling you this?
Not to brag (no, really) but to show you that I know what I’m talking about. I’ve done the hard yards of research and trial and error to know how to create a successful blog and I want to share that knowledge with you.

What I love about Gideon's videos is how didactic they are. I am not a native English speaker but his videos are very easy to understand and follow: I just leave them running on the background while I do things myself.
Another aspect that makes me happy is quite unexpected, actually: the transcripts below each class. They are, by themselves, a nice class on how to prepare a good podcast with a clear introduction, a clear summary, easy words to develop the concepts and a standard closing. High quality as a trademark!

And I think I am in love with Gideon.. I am also a follower of The Secret…and, surprisingly the whole driving force behind my website is based on the concepts which you have discussed in your latest email.
My thoughts when I started this blog was based on a successful life containing planning for the future, health factors and self focus.

What a great video "Kick Start 2009"
Having been in car sales for 30 years you learn if you are a good sales person, a technique that creeps very subtly upon you.You find a really deep insight to people.I have been very successful in this industry that has a bad impression from most people.
The reason I did well was (1) Honesty (2) Content-this might sound strange selling cars, however as Yaro recommends learn your product or rather passion for blogging to be able to talk or write about with ease.
Your audience or customers, if you are face to face selling have respect for you passion and effort you have put in to learn this and you have more chance to sell to them.
So what am I trying to say?
Gideon and Yaro strike me in my conception of my mad world to be really straight shooters and thank you guys for this video to bring home again that content or rather I call it "Would I read this" more important than just thinking of ripping your customer off.
How many times I sold cars to one family only to have them send their friends to me and relatives because they had a happy shopping experience buying from me...
I see no difference with blogging.You guys hit it on the head, passion, honesty, will get more traffic.
